So there’s been this porcupine hanging around our place recently. Couldn’t resist grabbing my camera today when he came by again.
All in all it was a rather amusing experience. He almost looks like he could be fluffy, eh?
I know it’s been a long time since I featured a specific photoshoot here on my blog…Here’s a sneak peak at one coming later this week!
So be sure and come back soon… for a post filled with sunshine, flowers, sparkling blue eyes, unbelievable cuteness…and a kitten.
I’m already excited! 😉
I love the expression on this little kitty’s face… looks like he’s brooding. I wonder what may be going through his kitty mind…
Remmy in Berlin in front of the German Parliament buildings.
The Berlin Wall.
Starbucks in Berlin… how awesome is that?!
See the first part of Remmy’s trip to Germany HERE.
Remmy’s travels continued, and in 2011 he went to Victoria, British Columbia. Since I live in British Columbia, I know this isn’t an “out-of-country” trip. However, I thought it was noteworthy because Victoria is the capitol city of this Province. Above, Remmy is at the Parliament Buildings of British Columbia.
Remmy on the ferry to Vancouver Island.
On the shore of the Pacific Ocean! 😀
Remmy also snuck along to Victoria’s IMAX theatre.
Come back next week to see where Remmy traveled next! 🙂
Remmy’s other travels:
With summer almost over, I still wanted to post one of my very “summery” hats. The wide brim keeps the sun off and it’s nice and light-weight for those hot days. Because it’s so simple, it’s easy to dress down or dress up with it. 🙂
The cat is a stray… she showed up about a week and a half ago and we haven’t been able to track down her family yet. She just joined us while we were snapping these pictures and they ended up being my favourite from the set. 🙂
P.s. Thx for snapping the pics, Sis 😉
Ok, I’m realizing it’s been a couple months since I introduced Remmy and told the story about the little white mouse. (You can read the full story HERE as well as see the pictures of the first country he visited.)
Anyways, it’s a rather overdue post, but here’s another couple of places that Remmy has visited. Remmy went to the States the first time in 2010. Here are a couple pictures at a historic outpost of the Pony Express.
On the hill to the right is also part of the Oregon Trail.
On a wagon. 🙂
Riding the pony express.
Remmy’s official USA pic!
Remmy returned to the States in 2011, but this time to Portland Oregon. One of the things he enjoyed was the Portland Saturday Market.
I’m catching up blogging on Remmy’s travels because he’s traveling again soon! 😀 Come back next week to see where Remmy traveled next.
I promised myself I would stop posting kitty pictures…until I saw these. 🙂 It’s so fun to have little animals around, but especially during the summer when the kids can spend more time with them outside.
They’ve grown up so fast, and are just so fluffy and soft…and just downright cute. (And, I have a weakness for orange cats.)
P.s. No, I don’t promise this is the last kitten post.
I thought I should share this story sooner than later because it will be continued as I travel more. 🙂 Having just finished sharing about my trip to England, I’m thinking now would be a good time to introduce “Remmy”.
It’s kind of a long story, so I’ll try condense it a little. 🙂 My sister and I have these really great friends, also a set of sisters….and they have these little stuffed mice (named Remmy.) Somehow, their Mom realized we didn’t have any of our own…and gave my sis and I each one. (Yeah, they have a cool mom!)
This was shortly before our trip to England and these two friends would’ve done almost anything to come along on such an adventure!
Knowing this, I promised to pack Remmy and take pictures of him in some of the places I would visit, and later “tag” them on facebook. So this is (the short version) of how Remmy came along to England.
Tower of London and Part of Tower Bridge.
Still at the Tower of London… Remmy in a quiver of arrows. (Remember how much I like arrow slits, right?)
On the beach in Bournemouth, England.
We were about to leave Oxford when I suddenly realized not only did I have the Remmy in my purse, but I hadn’t taken a picture of him yet… So my “Oxford Remmy Picture” is at the Oxford train station…
Harrod’s Department store.
So that is the beginning of Remmy’s travels…officially chronicled on my blog! 😀
Remmy has since been to two other countries (on of them twice!) so come back as Remmy will continue his travels….!
(Don’t laugh at me! I have my own mascot…and I think it’s cool, so there!)
P.s. Sorry for the “silence” around here this week…(after posting every day last month it does feel like silence!) But there have been some SUPER exciting things happening in my life… I will be updating soon! 😉
