From these pictures you would never guess that Luke and Piper’s wedding day was rained out!
The downpour caused their original ceremony location to be changed last minute…which also included the need to find a new location for their formal pictures.
However, I couldn’t be more delighted with our “plan B” location and the fun we had.
I only have happy memories when I think of their wedding day! Luke and Piper, thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

I’ve debated a little on this post… Mostly because it’s my fault. I’ve taken this wonderful family’s pictures before, but with my life being busy…
…in other words I was preoccupied first with a boyfriend, then a fiance, then with planning a wedding… and if you’ve followed my blog at all (or more likely you gave up on my blog and I lost you along the way haha!) you’ve noticed I haven’t been blogging lately.
So to tell the truth, I have some other photoshoots of this family I haven’t posted yet. Like her adorable baby pictures…(ah those eyes!!)
And another session of these boys before she was born…
But in the end I decided for now, to start current… and in the new year I’ll catch up on what I missed before. 🙂
But back to why I’m here…! We hit a lovely fall day, no rain, no wind…and not too cold for the little ones! I always enjoy the interactions with children, making them laugh and giggle… (and coaxing them to look at the camera! haha!)
Can’t end without a picture of their lovely parents!

Seriously, these kids just get more adorable every year (not that I’m biased! 😉 )
Can’t get enough of these eyelashes eyes and that closed mouth grin!
Full of giggles and overflowing with spunkiness (I think I made that word up!) I get a kick out of this kid.
I could probably do a whole blog post just on her expressions and personality (maybe I will!)

I love how they love each other…. the love of a sister is such a special gift!

Last June, I had the honour of photographing Arienne and Jeff’s rustic country wedding. 
Arienne was an absolutely gorgeous bride. She was cool enough to wear cowboy boots and a jean jacket…and to have her horse join in some of the pictures.
It was a perfectly bright June morning…Arienne and Jeff were so easy. They’re laid back and relaxed, we had such a great time.
Their love was so beautiful because it’s real, it’s genuine.
They were so fun…I just loved how much they loved each other.
Jeff is a wheat farmer so we couldn’t bypass the opportunity to use the endless rolling wheat fields as a back drop.
This was only a few weeks before my own wedding, and it was truly a blessing to be at Arienne and Jeff’s. They inspired me to enjoy every part of my own wedding. To take it easy and have fun!
Arienne and Jeff, it was a privilege to be part of your day. I wish you only the best in the future!

So very VERY honoured and excited to feature one of the most beautiful people I know: my sister.
We both had Monday off because it was Family Day here in BC. It was sprinkling snow but not super cold out… so we took advantage of the day and did a little photo shoot.
(It was graciousness on her part because I wanted to play with my new camera.)
I’ve blogged about her off and on over my time of blogging so feel like I’d be repeating myself if I sat down and started writing too much. Maybe today, I’ll let pictures speak. My words wouldn’t do justice to who she is to me. My best “girlfriend” – you know…that one with which you can laugh hysterically, the one whose thoughts you can almost read, who tells you how it is, listens, gives advice….but the best part? She’s also my sister. 😀 
If you know this gal in real life, you’re the one who’s blessed!

It was super cold out…and getting late in the day…
There wasn’t any sunlight out or much daylight left…but, we were running out of time because one of the sisters was moving away and it was the only chance our three schedules fit. So, we went for it!
It was worth all the cold, and the dark, and the mud, for the laughs and the fun and the pictures! Diane and Loreen were a hoot; but most sisters are. 😉 The inside jokes and how they can make each other laugh with a look or a word…sisters are just like that, and it’s always fun to experience it in real life. 🙂
But best of all, I was blessed to capture a moment, some memories… 🙂

Somehow…since the last time I blogged; not only has Christmas pasted but also New Years, and all the fun, joy, love, celebrating and craziness and general chaos that surrounds them… it’s hard to believe we’ve passed the halfway mark through January! :-S
Anyways, just a little note to say that I’m back around (hopefully! 😉 ) and am super excited to be sharing some recent-ish photo sessions on here very soon!
So for today enjoy the adorable smile, the twinkling eyes, and sprays of freckles…I can’t help but smile when I see that face 😀

So so very excited to share a few moments of Rita and Dietrich’s wedding on my blog today!
These two are so in love, photographing them wasn’t really work but a privilege. 
You can just see so plainly how much they simply adore each other.
Truly, love is one of the most photogenic aspects of life.
What I saw that day wasn’t just “two people in love” but a man and woman unified in their love for Christ as well as their love for each other. Everything about their day was centred around Christ and His love.

Those days when you come across a picture.
A picture of people. Of good friends.
It brings back memories.
Maybe you’re even in the picture.
It makes you miss the people who are in it because they’re far away.
You know it’s going to be a long while before you see them again.
That’s when you smile…and are thankful for such awesome people you’re able to call friend and for all the great memories and for all the time you have been given in the past.
So here’s to good times and good friends…the ones who are close and the ones who are far away!

I had the absolute pleasure of doing some yearly pictures of these kids a couple weeks ago.
We got some really sweet evening light and the location was perfect! (And their Mom picked utterly adorable outfits!!)
A boy in a tree…perfect place for little boys to play.
I did their portraits last year and was amazed at how much each has changed and grown up…time sure flies!
All in all, we had a great evening and session! Can’t wait for next year’s portraits! 😉
